Maxthon (formerly MyIE2) is a multipage browser based on the Internet Explorer core.

Maxthon can open multiple Web pages in just one window, and it takes only a few system resources when you're surfing with the integrated user interface.

The application supports special plug-ins and IE extensions, and its features include autoscrolling, form autofilling, external tools, plug-in support, a newsgroup-browsing mode, mouse gestures, customizable skins, and an Autohide panel.

Maxthon je baziran na Internet Explorer engine-u što znači da će sve one karakteristike koje rade u okviru Internet Explorer-a raditi i u okviru Maxthon tabovanog pretraživača ali i mnoge druge dodatne karakteristike.

Nova verzija donosi u okviru Webkit jezgra dodate opcije Video Popup i Video Sniffing, odnosno u okviru glavnog okvira dodat prozor za brzo čuvanje slike. Od popravki je dostupna ona koja se odnosi na problem fokusiranja.

Maxthon donosi prošireni opseg sigurnosnih opcija i potpuno je bezbedan kako po pitanju virusa, spyware-a, adware-a i drugih vrsta malware-a.
